Mini Sessions Take 1 - Saturday

Well it's that time of year again. Holiday mini sessions kicked off this past weekend. Needless to say I was a busy girl! On top of the mini sessions I had two very special engagement shoots.

My morning started off with Amelia's cake smash session from there I headed to Avila Beach for my first mini with the Cota family. When I got to Avila at 10am it was already 85 degrees, and there was a HUGE heart-walk event going on. I thought there was no way I was going to be able to shoot here today. I knew that the Cota family really wanted to beach, so while everyone in SLO County was out walking to support the fight against heart disease, I took to the beach and got busy!

Looking at these two, you would think twins! Think again, just two adorable siblings!

From there I moved everyone to Sycamore Mineral Springs, where it was not only 15 degrees cooler and shaded but it was quiet and I didn't have to compete with 3000 people in the background of my photos.

First up was Brandy, her daughter, Brandy's boyfriend Chris and his daughter. Talk about a cute family! We had so much fun, and the things adults do to make an 11 month old smile....I laughed so hard it hurt!! I love this photo of Brandy and Peyton!

Next up was the Castillo family, and the only way to describe them is FUN FUN FUN! I couldn't believe how much their kids have grown in the last year! It's one of my favorite things about doing holiday photos, you get to see how families change and grow over the years. They were as colorful as ever (which I LOVED!!) and all smiles.

After the Castillo Family, was the Barragan's. It was their first time having photo's done since their wedding and I was glad to have them in front of my camera! Kelley is a natural!

My Saturday ended with this engagement shoot of David + Marissa. I can't wait to shoot their wedding next year, but I'm so glad that the shoot went the way that it did. See, I had everything planned out, every location, the timing of the sunset...everything. that all fell apart when I pulled up and there was a wedding (which I was told was next weekend) was smack dab in the middle of plan. So I threw the plan out the window and we just went and got lost for a couple hours. It was better than anything that I could have planned. They are perfect for each other, and had me giggling the entire time.

So as you can see I had a very busy Saturday. I wouldn't have it any other way. I love what I do and I love that I can share it with you.
